Primary

All  students have the opportunity to participate in a group Band lesson. This lesson is also conducted during curriculum time and is part of the Primary Music Program. The lessons are conducted in a similar manner to those in the Strings program and further develop aural skills, music literacy and playing techniques.

The Secondary School offers the following Band ensembles:

Chamber Orchestra

Concert Band

Stage Band

Rock Band

A number of other small ensembles are available to students. These include:

Flute Ensemble

Clarinet Ensemble

Saxophone Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble

 

These ensembles perform at a wide variety of events including school concerts, competitions, Classics in the Cathedral and community events. The Secondary groups also have the opportunity to participate in tours, both domestic and international.
