St Margaret's understands the importance of leadership and nurtures and develops leadership qualities in all students from entry to graduation.

To facilitate the appointment of Student Leaders, a thorough selection process is undertaken. This includes indicative student elections, selection interviews and staff consultation.

The School is represented by two School Captains, two Boarder Captains, two Sports Captains, two Arts Captains and two Sacristans.

All students are encouraged to display leadership in their daily actions. Specific leadership roles for students include Prefects, House Captains, Form Captains, Sporting Team Captains, charity representatives, year level committees and group orientation leaders.
