St Margaret's School

Many of the School’s successes would not have been possible without the support of many generous contributors who have supported the teaching programs through giving of their time and expertise as well as through their in kind and financial support.

History of Philanthrophy at St Margaret’s

St Margaret’s has many outstanding resources and assets that have only been achieved through the generosity and hard work of many parents and students, both past and present, and benefactors of the School.

A history of major philanthropic bequests, commitment to the support of Fundraising Campaigns, functions and events and personal involvement have contributed to the realisation of both heritage and modern facilities such as:

  • The Darnell Music Block
  • The Darnell Art Room
  • The 25m Swimming Pool
  • Eton Hall
  • The Jackson Wing
  • The School Tuckshop
  • The Philip Harris Sports Centre
  • The Arts Centre
  • The Hassell Bequest (Library)
  • Diamond Bequest (Library)
  • And opportunities for students such as Scholarships and Bursaries
