St Margaret's students selected for Australian Rowing Team

 

Earlier this week, the Board of Rowing Australia announced the 2009 Australian Rowing Team of which three Maggies Girls were amongst those selected.

Maddie Edmunds (Year 12) together with Old Girls, Sally Kehoe (2003) and Philippa Lindley (2005) have been selected in the 2009 Australian Rowing Team and will compete at the world championships this year.

Maddie, who was selected as a member of the Australian Junior Rowing Team, will compete in the Women's Quad Scull at the World Junior Rowing Championships in Brive la Gaillarde, France in August.

Sally was selected in the Senior A Team and will compete in the 2009 World Rowing Championships in Poznan, Poland in August.

This is the first time Philippa has been selected to row for Australia and she will compete in the Women's Coxless Four at the Under 23 World Championships in Racice in the Czech Republic in July.
