Jacinta glides into National Rowing squad

St Margaret's student, Jacinta Edmunds (Year 12), has been named as one of nine female athletes in Rowing Australia’s 2011 Junior Development Tour.

The team will train at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra from 15 to 17 May, before travelling to Lake Karapiro, New Zealand, to compete in the NZ Rowing Winter Series Regatta No. 2 from 20 to 22 May.

They will compete against the recently selected New Zealand Junior Team.

Jacinta’s selection in the team follows a strong performance at recent Rowing Australia Junior Camps and the Junior selection trials in April.

The Australian team will compete in various events at the New Zealand Winter Series regatta at Lake Karapiro, including the Mens Coxed Four, Mens Quad Scull, Mens Double Scull, Womens Coxless Four, Womens Quad Scull, and Womens Single Scull.
