Dux of the Primary School

The Dux of St Margaret’s Primary School, each year, shall be the student in Year 7 who has attained the highest overall academic result in that Year 7 cohort

Honours and Commendation Awards

Honours Awards

Awarded to each year level (Years 4-7). These will be awarded to those students who received the highest level of achievement over the greatest number of Key Learning Areas.

Commendation Awards

Awarded to students who display outstanding effort in a range of Key Learning Areas. Three criteria will be used by the classroom and specialist teachers to make judgements about student effort. The criteria are:

  • Consistently high academic effort in class throughout the year.
  • Application to homework and study is consistently high.
  • Excellent attitude to learning.

The Spirit of St Margaret’s Citizenship Award

Teachers from each year level and Specialist Teachers nominate a student in the year level whom they believe would be a worthy recipient of this Award.

The Spirit of St Margaret’s Citizenship Award is awarded to a student in each class who is most outstanding in exemplifying the school values – spirit, faith, respect, integrity, courage and passion at all times.
