Funding our vision
The new $8 million Eunice Science and Resource Centre is the School's most significant capital works investment since the opening of the Arts Centre in 2003.
The need for this facility was so urgent it was fast-tracked to open in February 2012, with the School funding construction through a long-term loan.
In keeping with the School's tradition of strong financial stewardship and the Sisters' example of philanthropy and generosity, the school community is being invited to contribute $1.6 million towards outfitting the new Eunice Science and Resource Centre.
Through parent and wider school community contributions, the centre will be outfitted with the most technologically advanced equipment and furnishings appropriate to the calibre of the new centre.
Philanthropy, fees and capital projects
It has long been recognised school fees are not able to completely finance major capital projects, such as the Eunice Science and Resource Centre.
Most leading independent schools, including St Margaret's, have energetic and effective foundations that exist to provide philanthropic, tax-deductible opportunities for school supporters.
To assist the St Margaret's Foundation in achieving its goal of $1.6 million, well-known business figure and St Margaret's Foundation Director, Hume Campbell will drive the capital campaign for the Eunice Science and Resource Centre.
