Teaching and Learning > Primary School
St Margaret’s Primary School is a community of learners which fosters relationships with parents, students and staff. Students are encouraged to be responsible, take initiative and be active participants in their educative journey, which is never ending.
The Primary School provides an intimate learning environment for the education of students. This caring Christian community welcomes day girls from Pre Prep to Year 7 and boys in the Pre Prep and Preparatory classes.
In a relaxed and happy atmosphere, students are encouraged to strive for a high academic standard. Equally important is their involvement in a wide range of pastoral, cultural, social, spiritual, sporting and citizenship activities.
At St Margaret's, a strong feeling of family is apparent and the staff endeavours to develop a rapport with all students, not just those in their class. This allows staff to build upon each student’s capabilities and interests within a caring, supportive and encouraging environment.
The Primary School is situated on the same landscaped grounds as the Secondary School, but it has the benefit of separate facilities. The Primary classrooms display a warm and caring environment vital for productive learning. All rooms are air conditioned, well resourced with educational materials and each classroom is equipped with a refrigerator. A library, music room and computer laboratory are located in the primary building, whilst the 25m swimming pool is nearby. Students are able to access the technology laboratories and Arts Centre, including a purpose built art room.
