St Margaret's School

Girls’ families are encouraged to be a part of the St Margaret’s Community with opportunities to attend our special events such as the Boarder Parent Cocktail Party. The Boarders’ Parent Support Group was formed in 1991 and is a welcome component, meeting once a Term to discuss issues and lend support to the boarding community. Its aims and objectives are as follows:

  • To promote a close relationship between boarder parents, school staff and parents of day girls.
  • To act on behalf of boarder parents in consultation with the Principal and Director - Boarding to help enhance boarding life at St Margaret’s.
  • To participate in fundraising activities by either direct involvement at the School, or by decentralised participation.
  • To encourage all boarder parents where feasible to take an active part in school activities.
  • To inform boarder parents of activities related to boarding life, assisting where possible, parents of new girls.
  • To help strengthen the bonds with St Margaret’s outside the Brisbane area through the network of Old Girls, parents and prospective parents.
