Students at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School are able to enjoy the best educational, cultural and sporting and recreational facilities available.
Windsor Park Sporting Fields
The School has its own playing fields at Albion. Two large ovals incorporate a full athletics facility with a 400m running track, a throwing cage and long and high jump pits. For cricket, there are two turf and two enclosed practice wickets. Netball is played on four all-weather courts, with another three courts planned for the future. Depending on the season, the ovals can be adapted to play touch football, hockey, soccer or softball. In addition, there is a clubhouse with a kiosk, function area, showers and amenities.
Philip Harris Sports Centre
The Philip Harris Sports Centre consists of a fully sprung timber court area, gymnastics flooring and apparatus, fully equipped gymnasium, specialty classrooms, staffrooms, change rooms, viewing mezzanine, outdoor amphitheatre and car parking. The court area provides an all-weather venue for competition games and training. Netball, basketball, soccer, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, aerobics, gymnastics and skills based training are some of the activities which occur in the Sports Centre.
Swimming Pool
An Olympic-size pool and a 25 metre pool cater for swimming, life saving and water polo.
Tennis Courts
Four synthetic all-weather tennis courts are available for competition and private lessons
Rowing and Sailing Shed
A large modern facility to support the school's extensive rowing and sailing program is located near the School on Breakfast Creek.
Arts Centre
The first stage of a state-of-the-art Arts Centre is a recent addition to St Margaret's. The new Arts Centre supports the school's Visual Arts program with superb facilities including three art studios, modern pottery area and a large display gallery.
This first stage of a much larger Arts Centre project also accommodates Performing Arts facilities, multi-functional rooms and computer facilities. The centre is fully air-conditioned and all rooms are cabled to the school's extensive computer network.
This wonderful facility has hosted many events including parent evenings, conferences, cocktail parties and wedding receptions.
